Hello lovelies
If you’ve been following this blog for a while now, you’ll know that I really love body oils a lot and they are a very vital part of my skin and hair care routine.
Since I stepped away from chemical creams and leaned towards organic skincare early last year which includes use of body oils, I have noticed a great difference in my skin. My favorite oils are coconut oil and avocado oil. I just love how good coconut oil is for my skin, and I use avocado mainly for my hair.
Because of the immense benefits I’ve discovered coconut oil has to offer, I decided to make a post on it and share it with you guys today. I’ll be sharing the benefits of coconut oil most especially for facial skin care.
It gives your face the glow you desire
Coconut oil has brightening effects that makes your skin glow and shine. Using coconut oil on your face will give you that desired glow which is one of the reasons I love it so much.
It is a great moisturizer
Coconut oil is a great skin moisturizer. It keeps your skin fresh while preventing dry skin. For those who have dry skin naturally, coconut oil is the best for for you. It will moisturize your skin and keep it soft and supple. During this period of little harmattan over here, I’ve relied heavily on coconut oil to keep my skin moisturized because the weather is super dry and it’s always dusty.
It combats breakouts on your face
One of the great benefits of coconut oil is that it has healing properties. It is anti bacterial and anti inflammatory which helps in fighting acne and facial breakouts while keeping your face smooth and clear. For acne, using coconut oil on your face before going to bed is the best remedy. It’s a slow process but a very effective one.
It lightens discolourations and dark spots
If you have facial discolourations and dark spots, or an uneven skin tone, using coconut oil is a great way to fade it and blend it all together. It doesn’t bleach your skin, it just lightens it to give you an even skin tone making your skin uniform looking and very beautiful.
