So I’m sure we’ve all heard the glorious story of fruits and how good they are for our bodies right from birth.

I remember being forced to eat my fruits when I was younger. I’d always pout and frown whenever I had to eat fruits (especially when it was papaya, I absolutely detested it)

However, having grown and discovered their benefits for myself, I can boldly say they are indeed good for your body, and I don’t need anyone to force me to eat them.

And I don’t pout anymore.

So today, I want to share with you three awesome benefits of fruits, and why you should totally incorporate them into your diet today.

Fruits, as you probably know is filled with lots of nutrients, vitamins, minerals and fiber. However, it contains just few calories, making it great for weight loss.

If you’re starting a weight loss diet, fruits are the best supplements for food. However, too much can have the opposite effect.

2. Fruits keep your skin fresh

I’m pretty sure each and every one of us wants to have clear and glowing skin. And that can be achieved, no matter your age. Aside from your daily skin care regimens, adding fruits to your beauty diet will be very rewarding. Fruits help keep your skin young looking and flush away toxins from your body.

Fruits like banana are very good for acne. It prevents toxic acids from forming in the skin cells that cause acne. Another fruit which is good for skin care is pineapple. It softens dry and lifeless skin. Other fruits include cucumber which works great for oily skin and acne, peach, watermelon, lime and apple.

3. Fruits help prevent certain illnesses

Studies show that a diet rich in fruits can lower blood pressure, reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke, prevent some types of cancer, lower risk of eye and digestive problems, and have a positive effect upon blood sugar, which can help keep appetite in check.

Fruits like banana, apple, cherries, watermelon, papaya, cucumber, berries and the rest are really great in preventing certain diseases and keeping you in good health and tip top shape.

Now, eating fruits doesn’t have to be normal and boring you know. To enjoy your fruits better, dice it and add it as a side to your main dish.
